Engagements & scope

Engagements & scope

Engagements & scope

Project work begins with a written proposal that sets out scope, timeline, and fees. That document, once accepted, is what we both work to. Anything outside it is treated as a new request, scoped and agreed before we start — so there are no surprises on either side.

Fees & payment

Fees & payment

Fees & payment

Fees are agreed up front and typically invoiced in stages tied to project milestones. Invoices are due within fourteen days unless we agree otherwise in writing. Work may pause if an invoice falls significantly overdue, and we will always flag that before it happens.

Intellectual property

Intellectual property

On full payment, final deliverables and their usage rights transfer to you. We retain the working files, source explorations, and the right to feature the finished work in our portfolio and case studies — unless we have agreed in writing to keep an engagement confidential.

Confidentiality

Confidentiality

Confidentiality

Anything you share with us in confidence stays that way. We will not disclose your private information or unreleased work, and we ask the same in return for our process, pricing, and proprietary methods.

06

Liability

Liability

We bring care and craft to every engagement, but we cannot guarantee specific commercial outcomes. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to the fees paid for the work in question. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Termination

Termination

Termination

Either of us can end an engagement with reasonable written notice. If that happens, you pay for work completed and approved up to that point, and we hand over everything you have paid for in an orderly way.

These terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales, with disputes handled by its courts. Where work is delivered from our Dubai office, local requirements are accommodated as needed. Questions are always welcome at hello@fathom.studio.
